The Great Strides Tucson walk was a huge success on Sunday March 29, 2015. We had a great turnout from Team MCLife Tucson. In total we raised $2,729 in donations for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. We are so proud of Team MCLife Tucson and appreciate all of their efforts. One of our residents, Jeremy Webster, raised the most money out of all of our residents and we spoke to him about his fundraising, Great Strides experience and drive to help others.

Jeremytucmar302 recently moved back to Tucson and into The Place at Creekside. In my moving back to Tucson, I decided to change my habits and get more involved in the community activities.  I was informed of this opportunity when I signed my lease and decided to challenge myself to participate.”

How did you fundraise? How would you recommend others try to fundraise? I contacted my friends and coworkers, I posted updates on Facebook as I trained for this event, and I invited people to walk with me.”

How was Great Strides Tucson? Did you have fun? Tell me about the experience. I had a great time and met wonderful people!  The walk was a challenge considering my health issues, but I am looking forward to participating in future events! I am grateful for the chance to help, and get involved.”

Jeremy is always looking for opportunities to help out in the Tucson cotucmar303mmunity. He wants to lend a helping hand. “I am looking to participate in my community more and help where I can.  I enjoy meeting new people and being involved in good causes.  I am signing up to walk in the March of Dimes: March for Babies in April at Reid Park.  So please come out and enjoy the park, join the walk, and help a good cause.”

We appreciate all of Jeremy’s hard work and know we wouldn’t have been able to make such an impact without the cooperation of residents, staff and their friends and family. Together we are saying ‘goodbye’ to cystic fibrosis.

If you would like join one of our other Great Strides Events there are resources out there to help you fundraise and spread awareness. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation offers fundraising templates & tools on how to send emails and social media blasts out to friends and family.
